Soul Searcher Films is an independent creative studio dedicated to exploring the deeper dimensions of the human experience through film, storytelling, and emerging creative technologies.
Founded on the belief that stories have the power to inspire, heal, awaken, and transform, Soul Searcher Films creates emotionally resonant cinematic experiences that explore themes of consciousness, memory, spirituality, human connection, purpose, and the enduring mysteries of existence.
At a time when technology is rapidly expanding what independent creators can achieve, the studio embraces innovation while remaining grounded in emotional truth, artistic integrity, and meaningful storytelling. By combining traditional filmmaking craft with emerging AI-assisted creative tools, Soul Searcher Films seeks to create ambitious stories that would have been impossible for small teams to produce only a few years ago.
Whether exploring reincarnation, near-death experiences, personal transformation, the nature of consciousness, or the unseen threads that connect us across time and space, each project is guided by a simple question:
What does it mean to be human?
From intimate short films and experimental visual experiences to larger narrative works, every project is created with the intention of encouraging reflection, fostering empathy, inspiring curiosity, and reminding audiences that there may be more connecting us than separating us.
At its core, Soul Searcher Films exists to tell stories that matter.
Stories that invite us to look deeper.
Stories that help us remember.
And stories that remind us we are part of something larger than ourselves.
About Soul Searcher
About the Founder
Dominic Koletes is the Founder and President of Soul Searcher Films and currently serves as Vice President of Production Technology at Legendary Entertainment, where he helps guide the exploration and adoption of emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, and next-generation filmmaking workflows.
A lifelong storyteller, filmmaker, and creative technologist, Dominic has spent more than two decades working at the intersection of cinema and innovation. His career has spanned filmmaking, post-production, visual effects, technology leadership, education, and creative development, giving him a unique perspective on both the artistic and technical sides of storytelling.
Throughout his work, Dominic has remained fascinated by the deeper questions of human existence. His stories often explore themes of consciousness, memory, grief, transformation, spiritual awakening, near-death experiences, and the unseen connections that may exist beyond ordinary perception. He is particularly drawn to narratives that invite reflection, challenge assumptions, and encourage audiences to consider the possibility that reality may be larger and more mysterious than it appears.
In 2002, he founded Soul Searcher Films as a creative home for projects centered on meaning, wonder, and the human experience. After placing the company on hold for many years while focusing on family and career, he relaunched Soul Searcher Films to help explore a new era of independent storytelling made possible by emerging creative technologies.
Through Soul Searcher Films, Dominic seeks to create films, stories, and experiences that are emotionally honest, spiritually resonant, and deeply human. His goal is not simply to entertain, but to create work that inspires curiosity, fosters empathy, and reminds people of the connections that unite us across cultures, beliefs, and generations.
While he is excited by the creative opportunities presented by artificial intelligence and other emerging tools, Dominic believes technology is most powerful when it serves something greater than itself. For him, the future of filmmaking is not defined by algorithms or software, but by humanity’s enduring desire to connect, to understand, and to share meaningful stories with one another.
At its heart, Soul Searcher Films is dedicated to a simple belief: stories matter. They have the power to heal, inspire, awaken, and help us remember who we are.
